About PasswordShortlist

What is PasswordShortlist?

PasswordShortlist is a comparison site for password managers that answers to no vendor. It exists to get you to a sound decision quickly: managers are weighed on price, on security and quality, and on how they hold up in daily use, with a direct link to each provider's official site.

The way we work

• A manager earns its place through security and usefulness, never through the size of its commission.
• Prices and features are verified against the providers' own pages and refreshed on a regular basis; what you pay often depends on the plan and the number of people on it.
• Ratings are editorial and weigh the free plan, price, features, and ease of use.
• The guidance is general and is meant to point you in the right direction, not to decide for you.
• Text on this site is drafted with the help of AI tools and checked by our editorial team before it goes live.

For the complete method, including which evidence counts and why a commission never shifts the ranking, see how we rank.

How the site is paid for

There is no charge for using PasswordShortlist. A number of links are affiliate links; if you sign up via one of them, a small commission may come our way. It costs you nothing more and it does not influence which password managers we recommend. See our disclaimer and privacy policy for the details.
