Does a password manager work on all your devices?
Yes, the major managers run on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, and iPhone, plus as browser extensions. Your vault syncs encrypted across everything. Watch the free-plan limits though: NordPass Free is signed in on one device at a time, LastPass Free locks you to one device type.
The whole point of a good password manager is that your vault is everywhere: the password you create on your laptop is filled in on your phone a minute later. Bitwarden, 1Password, NordPass, Proton Pass, Dashlane, and Keeper all ship apps for every mainstream platform and extensions for every mainstream browser. Sync is encrypted end to end; in transit your vault stays unreadable.
The differences hide at the edges. Bitwarden and Proton Pass are unlimited on devices even in their free plans. NordPass Free syncs everywhere but keeps you signed in on one device at a time; LastPass Free forces a choice between mobile and desktop. Apple Passwords works beautifully inside Apple (and on Windows via iCloud), but not on Android.
A practical migration tip: install the manager everywhere first and enable autofill in your phone's settings. The new system becomes habit within days, because the old one is no longer needed anywhere.
